Getting Started

Allow for your content to have multiple touchpoints generating in higher customer engagement and increased awareness.

  • We work with you to develop a workflow to fit your unique needs.
  • We have a proven track records to ensure both platform stability and quality.
  • Having a stable platform reduces the risk by which your services are powered. This enables you to rest assured delivery is consistent each and every time.
  • At the end of the day, going forward, a new normal that has evolved from heading towards a streamlined solution.

Components Involved

When delivering live streaming services the following components are commonly involved:

  • A camera that is used to broadcast an event. (broadcast production)
  • A live video encoder that converts signals from the camera to streams that are sent to a live streaming service. Optionally, multiple live time synchronized encoders. For certain critical live events that demand very high availability and quality of experience, it is recommended to employ active-active redundant encoders with time synchronization to achieve seamless failover with no data loss.
  • A live streaming service that enables you to do the following:
    • ingest live content using various live streaming protocols (for example RTMP or HLS),
    • (optionally) encode your stream into adaptive bitrate stream
    • preview your live stream (optionally),
    • record and store the ingested content in order to be streamed later (Video-on-Demand)
    • deliver the content through common streaming protocols (for example, MPEG DASH, HLS) directly to your customers, or to a Content Delivery Network (CDN) for further distribution.

Single-bit Input

  • We work with you to develop a workflow to fit your unique needs.
  • Using a single input allows you to provide a stream in bandwidth constraint locations
  • We do the heavy lifting and encode the content and deliver to CDN

This allow for your content to have multiple touchpoints generating in higher customer engagement and increased awareness.

Multi-bit input

When delivering live streaming services the following components are commonly involved:

  • Ensure you have a video encoder that delivers multiple streams
  • Create the necessary rendtions based on targeted devices
    • Mobile (198kbps) – 480×270 – Video Bitrate: 150 – Audio Bitrate: 48
    • Normal (446kbps) – 512×288 – Video Bitrate: 350 – Audio Bitrate: 96
    • Medium (678kbps) – 768×432 – Video Bitrate: 550 – Audio Bitrate: 128
    • High (1696kbps) – 848×480 – Video Bitrate: 1500 – Audio Bitrate: 128
    • HD (2128kbps) – 1280×720 – Video Bitrate: 2000 – Audio Bitrate: 128
    • *HD+ (5192kbps) – 1920×1080 – Video Bitrate: 5000 – Audio Bitrate: 192
  • We deliver the content through common streaming protocols (for example, MPEG DASH, HLS) directly to your customers, or to a Content Delivery Network (CDN) for further distribution.

Configuration Tips

  • Whenever possible, use a hardwired internet connection.
  • When you’re determining bandwidth requirements, double the streaming bitrates. Although not mandatory, this simple rule helps to mitigate the impact of network congestion.
  • When using software-based encoders, close out any unnecessary programs.
  • Changing your encoder configuration after it has started pushing has negative effects on the event. Configuration changes can cause the event to become unstable.
  • Ensure that you give yourself ample time to set up your event. For high-scale events, we recommend starting the setup an hour before your event.
